Vicent Project

The Vicent project was developed for the course "Fashion Design Project I" in the first semester of the Fashion Design Master's program at UBI. The project involves the creation of costumes for a contemporary ballet piece, with characters inspired by great painters such as Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Michelangelo, Gustav Klimt, and Leonardo Da Vinci.

Synopsis of the story:
"In this contemporary ballet piece, Vicent, a young aspiring painter from 1880, after giving the final brushstroke to his work 'Starry Night', travels through time 200 years later (2080) to a dystopian future where he finds his recent masterpiece completed and signed by someone else.
Due to his attire, which is not fitting for the time he finds himself in, and his claims about the painting, Vicent is considered insane and is captured and confined to an asylum by the city's army. It is in this asylum that he meets Frida, a young revolutionary, who will help him in his adventure."

The project also involved transforming these costumes into a commercial collection.

The Vincent Collection Capsule, inspired by the costumes of this contemporary ballet, introduces a line of Unisex Ready-To-Wear Streetwear. Utilizing predominantly blue, yellow, orange, and black, along with prints that evoke or feature patterns from the artworks of the mentioned artists, the pieces are versatile and can be worn in various combinations. Fun, elegant, and artistic, the Vincent Collection is ready to wear!
